National Canoe Slalom Championships
2025 Selection Dates - Note, you must be a member of CSNZ to race. Membership runs 1 Jan - 31 Dec.
10-12 Jan: NZ Canoe Slalom Squads selection 1 & 2: Mangahao; Register at http://www.canoeslalomnz.org.nz
Training days 8-9th January
The Selection races 1 & 2 are at the Mangahao course near Shannon. See Google Maps HERE
This race is suitable for people who are capable of paddling the upper course in Kawerau. If you are unsure please check with your coach. If you are a paddler who has any consideration to be looking for national team selection in the coming few years, this is a really good race to attend.
Our club coaches will be going to Mangahao and will be providing training. Parental help is always required at these races so hopefully we will be seeing parents going down with their paddlers. CSBOP will be looking to take down a van for training in advance of the event.
You will need to find your own accomodation. Free camping is available next to the course. The hall is usually made available and there are toilet facilities in the carpark beside the course put-in.
